Walk and Talk counseling is a highly desirable option for those that prefer to meet in an outdoor setting versus in-office. This approach to counseling allows the client and therapist to meet in a preferred walking trail, park, or community area.
Though there are many benefits of walk and talk counseling, below are the most commonly reported:
Helpful in working through feelings of being “stuck” in your life
Encourages movement and allows accountability
Provides a new way of thinking with more clarity and insight
Being outdoors brings a sense of relaxation and feeling free
The first appointment will be in a traditional office setting to assess needs, review therapeutic goals, and agree on walking site. Additional information is available on the blog.
